Accountant - Full Time - Evaluation Hire
Location: Guelph, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30 pm
Job Description
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is currently hiring on behalf of a local manufacturing company specializing in steel fabrication. We are seeking a well-experienced Accountant to bring a positive attitude and a collaborative long-term mindset to an established team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting leadership with financial insights, metrics, and recommendations
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and profitability improvements
- Assisting with government programs, grants, and funding opportunities
- Providing guidance and direction to leadership using financial data
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, reconciliations as well as month-end support
- Payroll support considered an asset, not required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a similar role
- Objective-driven, solutions-focused and a positive mindset
- Comfortable working in a flexible, less regimented environment
- Experience with Microsoft NAV / Business Central / Microsoft 365
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
