Salary: $18/hour

Location:  Meet up in Bedford Park, on-site at various restoration project sites

Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency calls involving fire, water, or smoke damage
• Assess damage and determine appropriate restoration procedures
• Remove damaged materials (e.g., drywall, flooring)
• Perform water extraction and structural drying
• Apply mold and mildew prevention treatments
• Operate specialized restoration tools and equipment
• Maintain safety standards and clean work environments
• Document restoration progress with photos and written reports
• Communicate with clients and insurance adjusters

Schedule:

• Shifts range from 8 to 12 hours, depending on the size and urgency of the job
• On-call availability is required and considered essential for emergency response coverage

Qualifications:

• Experience in restoration or related fields (construction, emergency services)
• Ability to use restoration tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire damage recovery
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety practices

Work Environment:

• Emergency and high-stress situations
• Physical stamina required for lifting, cleaning, and repairs
