Shipping and Receiving Lead

Location: Graham, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM
Compensation: $20/hr

About the Role

We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipments, inventory control, and team coordination. In this hands-on role, you’ll supervise the shipping and receiving process, maintain accurate records, operate material handling equipment, and ensure efficient warehouse flow and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in loading and unloading materials, verifying shipments, and checking invoices

• Pull, pack, and stage stock for outgoing shipments and internal orders

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently

• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and update inventory databases

• Monitor inventory levels for short-term storage and replenished stock

• Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and documented

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure on-time delivery of goods

• Enforce safety procedures and compliance standards throughout the warehouse

• Train and lead new employees on proper shipping and receiving processes

• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies promptly

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory with shipping and receiving experience 

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving required

• Supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse environment preferred

• Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
