We are seeking an experienced Power Press Setup Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting power presses while safely handling materials using a forklift. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and change over power presses according to work orders and specifications

• Install and align dies, tooling, and fixtures

• Adjust press settings to ensure quality and efficiency

• Perform first-piece inspections and ongoing quality checks

• Troubleshoot press issues and make necessary adjustments

• Operate a forklift to move raw materials, dies, and finished products

• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout

• Complete production and inspection documentation

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Power Press Setup Operator

• Forklift experience required (certification preferred)

• Strong understanding of press safety standards and procedures

• Ability to read blueprints, job travelers, and setup sheets

• Mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Ability to lift up to [weight] lbs and stand for extended periods

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Skills

• Experience with progressive or transfer dies

• Basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

• Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
