Express Employment Professionals of Bradenton, FL is currently hiring for a Machine Repair position for a Manufacturer in the Marine industry based in Sarasota, FL
Duties:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on production machinery and shop equipment.
- Perform corrective repairs to machines and components to restore full operational capability.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and extend machine life.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Assist production operators and engineers with machine setups, adjustments, and fine-tuning.
- Test equipment after repairs or adjustments to ensure proper performance and safety compliance.
- Recommend and implement improvements to machine performance and reliability.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings to complete repair and maintenance work.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in industrial machine maintenance, mechanical repair, or manufacturing support roles (e.g., 2 + years preferred).
- Good mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and machine controls.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance work orders.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to safety and quality-driven work practices.
