Fireplace Service Technician
Job Description
Our client, a leading store specializing in fireplaces, stoves, hot tubs, grills, and outdoor furniture, is seeking a Fireplace Technician to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high‑quality service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on gas, wood, and pellet fireplaces, stoves, and inserts. This role includes troubleshooting issues at customer locations to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Training is available for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.

Schedule & Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $22 per hour + commission
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Service & Maintenance: Clean, diagnose, and repair fireplaces, stoves, and inserts (gas, wood, pellet).
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent service, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Scheduling & Time Management: Manage daily appointments and tasks efficiently.
- Inventory & Tools: Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Reporting & Records: Document service calls and customer interactions accurately.
- Parts Management: Coordinate parts ordering for warranties and repairs.
Requirements
- Experience: Fireplace service/maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Plus: HVAC experience is beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, manometers, voltmeters, and pressure gauges.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting ability with gas and electrical systems.
- Qualifications: Valid driver’s license, high school diploma, and mechanical aptitude (e.g., ability to change oil).
- Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, responsible, eager to learn, and stable work history.
Compensation & Benefits
- Commission: Eligible after 90–120 days based on performance and growth.
