Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a well-established food manufacturing facility in St. Ansgar, IA. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving plant equipment and facilities while supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations in a food-grade environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

• Operate welders, presses, grinders, and other maintenance equipment

• Document all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance system

• Communicate with operations and support teams to minimize downtime

• Follow all safety policies including Lockout/Tagout, hot work, PPE, and GMPs

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Participate in shift huddles and team performance discussions

• Support food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED

• Previous industrial maintenance experience required

• Welding experience preferred

• Millwright experience desired

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission, and machining

• Experience with compressors, boilers, steam/water systems, HVAC, and electrical troubleshooting

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and around grain dust

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team lift for heavier items)
