Franchise Accountant I

Pay Rate: $23–$24 per hour
Onsite Requirement: Approximately 80% onsite

Position Overview

A well-known organization is seeking a Franchise Accountant I to join its accounting team in Oklahoma City. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of monthly commission and reserve statements for franchise partners. The position includes entering and auditing weekly adjustments, preparing reconciliations, and supporting franchise partners with accounting-related questions and processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to build a strong foundation in franchise accounting under the guidance of senior team members, with room for growth in statement management, reconciliations, and franchise support.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and process commission and reserve statements for U.S., Canada, and ANZ franchise offices
Balance payroll weekly and prepare general ledger account reconciliations
Enter, audit, and reconcile weekly statement adjustments for accuracy
Provide support to current and former franchisees regarding commission and reserve statements
Assist franchisees with inquiries via phone and email in a responsive and professional manner
Prepare ad hoc reports, reimbursements, invoices, rundowns, resale reviews, and WOTC error reports as needed
Invoice and collect funds from founder offices for expenses paid on their behalf
Process new franchisee advertising reimbursements
Assist other departments as needed, including Accounts Receivable and Workers’ Compensation

Education & Experience Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent education preferred
0–2 years of accounting or finance experience
Internship or related accounting experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Working knowledge of general office procedures
Understanding of fundamental accounting principles, procedures, and classifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient with Windows-based computer systems
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Willingness and ability to learn franchise accounting processes with guidance
