We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations of a fitness center in Marysville, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting management with timely financial reporting. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop is required.
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop
Record daily transactions, including membership payments, retail sales, and expenses
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and merchant accounts
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
Track membership revenue, recurring billing, and refunds
Process payroll or coordinate with payroll provider (if applicable)
Prepare monthly financial reports for management review
Assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking
Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation
Support year-end close and provide information for tax preparation
Required: Experience with QuickBooks Desktop
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Experience handling high-volume transactions preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
