Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the complete day-to-day bookkeeping functions for a growing service-based business. This role is hands-on and detail-driven, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring books are kept current and organized. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, and comfortable working independently.
Primary Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all business transactions
· Process invoicing, payments, and collections
· Enter and code transactions into bookkeeping software
· Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan statements on a regular basis
· Manage vendor records, W-9s, and payment schedules
· Track expenses, receipts, and job-related costs
· Maintain organized digital and paper financial records
· Prepare monthly bookkeeping reports such as income summaries and expense reports
· Assist with sales tax tracking and filings
· Support year-end preparation by organizing records for external accountants or tax professionals
· Identify discrepancies and resolve basic bookkeeping issues as they arise
Required Qualifications
· 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
· Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping best practices
· Proficiency in bookkeeping software QuickBooks Desktop
· Comfortable with high-volume data entry and transaction processing
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
· High level of reliability, discretion, and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting a service-based or field-service business
· Payroll processing experience
· Familiarity with sales tax reporting
· Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
