We are hiring a Payroll Specialist in South County, Missouri to support accurate, on-time payroll processing for established local employers. This role is ideal for payroll professionals who value confidentiality, compliance, and detail-oriented work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
  
  

• Enter and audit payroll data including hours worked, PTO, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
  
  

• Administer payroll taxes, benefits deductions, and garnishments
  
  

• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation
  
  

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries
  
  

• Ensure compliance with federal, Missouri state, and local payroll regulations
  
  

• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits and reporting
  
  

Required Skills & Experience (ATS Keywords):

• 1+ years of payroll processing experience
  
  

• Experience using payroll software, such as:
  
  

• ADP (Workforce Now or Run)
  
  

• Paychex
  
  

• UKG / Kronos
  
  

• Gusto, Paylocity, Ceridian Dayforce
  
  

• Knowledge of payroll taxes (FICA, FUTA, SUTA, Missouri state taxes)
  
  

• Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll imports
  
  

• Understanding of wage and hour laws, overtime rules, and exempt vs. non-exempt classifications
  
  

• Strong Excel skills (filters, formulas, audits, reconciliations)
  
  

• High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
