Job Summary

The Material Handler / Move Man is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment at job sites and facilities. This role supports daily operations by ensuring materials are handled efficiently, securely, and in compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and position materials, equipment, and supplies

• Transport materials within job sites, warehouses, or customer locations

• Assist with setup, breakdown, and relocation of materials or equipment

• Operate hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment

• Secure materials to prevent damage during transport

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Assist team members as needed to complete jobs on time

• Report damaged materials, safety concerns, or equipment issues

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials (often 50+ lbs)

• Basic knowledge of safe lifting and material handling practices

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic

• Willingness to work indoors, outdoors, and in varying conditions

• Previous material handling, moving, or labor experience preferred (but not required)

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, bending, standing, and walking

• Ability to work extended shifts as needed

Work Environment

• Construction sites, warehouses, commercial or industrial locations

• Exposure to dust, noise, and weather conditions
