Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Welder Fitter with proven supervisory experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical welding and fitting skills who can effectively oversee crews, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain a safe, productive worksite. This position plays a key role in planning, executing, and managing fabrication and installation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Welding & Fitting

• Perform structural, pipe, or fabrication welding using processes such as MIG, TIG, and Stick (as applicable)
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
• Lay out, fit, and assemble components prior to welding
• Ensure welds meet company standards, codes, and specifications

Supervisory & Leadership

• Supervise and lead a team of welders and fitters
• Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure deadlines are met
• Train and mentor junior welders and fitters
• Enforce quality control and job-site safety standards
• Coordinate with project managers and inspectors to resolve issues

Safety & Quality

• Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety policies
• Conduct job briefings and toolbox talks
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe condition

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certified Welder (AWS or equivalent certification required)
• Minimum 5+ years experience as a welder fitter
• 2+ years supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and industry standards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage crews effectively
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
  
  Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, climb, kneel, and work in varying conditions
• Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and at heights
