A local manufacturing facility is hiring an Entry-Level Chemist for a hands-on role supporting production and quality operations. This position is ideal for candidates with applied chemistry or lab experience who enjoy working in an industrial, fast-paced environment. This is not a traditional clean lab role—work will take place on the manufacturing floor.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts

• Work three days per week

• Night Shifts:

  • Monday - Wednesday, 5PM - 5AM
  • Thursday - Saturday, 5PM - 5AM

• 36 hours per week, paid for 40 hours

• Training schedule will differ from the normal shift structure

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality control and chemical testing on production materials

• Maintain chemical solutions and water treatment systems

• Troubleshoot chemical and process issues on the manufacturing floor

• Support safety, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives

• Manage chemical inventory and create testing documentation

• Cross-train and assist with additional plant responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate’s degree in chemistry, biology, applied sciences, engineering, or a related field

• Strong math skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Comfortable working in a physically demanding, industrial environment

Preferred:

• 1–2 years of laboratory, chemical, or manufacturing experience

• Hands-on or blue-collar work background

• Valid Driver’s License

Work Environment

Fast-paced industrial manufacturing setting with hands-on work on the production floor. Conditions may include heat, noise, moisture, and exposure to chemicals. This role is active and not limited to a clean laboratory.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during 12-hour shifts in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Laboratory testing instruments, chemical dosing and water treatment systems, pumps, meters, basic hand tools, and standard computer systems for reporting and data entry.
