Senior Accountant - Full Time- Evaluation Hire
Location: Guelph, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Job Description

Express Employment Professionals Guelph is currently hiring a Senior Accountant for a well-established and reputable Guelph company. This is a great evaluation hire opportunity for someone experienced in accounting and bookkeeping functions and looking for long term career growth.

Responsibilities

• Detailed data - entry using Sage (formerly AccPac)
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy
• Processing invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Manage vendor and customer accounts, including resolving any issues or discrepancies
• Prepare and submit tax forms, including quarterly and annual tax filings

Requirements

• Experience in a previous account/controller role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Skilled in accounting software (i.e. Sage/AccPacc)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong understanding of math and numbers
