Our client in Hoboken, NJ is in need of an HR Generalist to work out of their Camden location, with travel to and from Hoboken as needed for meetings. This is an in-person position - 5 days a week. Salary range - $70-85k plus full benefits

 

The HR Generalist supports daily human resources operations for assigned locations, including hiring, employee and labor relations, benefits coordination, compliance, and HR systems administration. This role partners closely with HR leadership and site management to ensure consistent and effective people practices. The ideal candidate is independent, adaptable, and eager to take ownership of day-to-day HR activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with HR leadership and site managers on recruiting, employee relations, and labor matters

• Serve as a trusted HR resource for managers and employees

• Support disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations

• Manage full-cycle recruiting activities, including postings, screening, and interviews

• Assist with compensation changes such as promotions, adjustments, and separations

• Ensure payroll and pay practices comply with applicable laws and internal guidelines

• Coordinate benefits administration and leave processes in alignment with company policies

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems

• Support onboarding, orientations, training, and HR-related events

• Assist with broader HR initiatives and other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years of HR experience; labor relations experience a plus

• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Willingness to travel as required
