Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a pharmaceutical plant in the Waukegan Area! The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in machine maintenance and building maintenance in a food or pharmaceutical environment.   

Duties

• Read and understand construction and machine blueprints, including machine drawings and building construction floor plans
• Perform administrative tasks such as parts ordering, vendor management inventory
• Perform equipment and building rounds readings, and is responsible for identifying, mitigating, and reporting building system equipment malfunctions
• Engages in ground maintenance activities such as parking lot maintenance, exterior building maintenance
• Assist senior Maintenance Mechanics in performing preventive Maintenance on mechanical, plumbing and electrical equipment 
• Possess general knowledge of the following skill sets: PLC, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Welding, Pneumatic, Gas Supply, Vacuum, Writing/Revising SOPs, PM, cGMP
• Must interpret drawings, layouts and wiring diagrams.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in facility maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must interpret drawings, layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Must possess a basic knowledge of the following skill sets: o Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall Repairs, Painting, Flooring, General Carpentry, Locks, Snow Removal, Lawn Care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use common tools.
• Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
