AutoCAD Draftsman

Location: Cassopolis, MI
Pay: $25–$27 per hour (based on experience)
Full-time - Permanent - IN OFFICE, NOT REMOTE

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsman to join a growing engineering and manufacturing organization in Cassopolis, Michigan. This position focuses on 2-D architectural drafting and supports the design, approval, and production of mobile facilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working cross-functionally with engineers, customers, and production teams.

Experience in the mobile home, mobile office, or RV industries is highly preferred. Candidates with backgrounds in residential or general building construction will also be strongly considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Create new 2-D architectural drawings using AutoCAD
• Modify and update existing drawings based on design changes and approvals
• Distribute drawings electronically to customers, engineers, and state agencies for review and approval
• Incorporate feedback and revisions from regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
• Print and plot drawings for purchasing, manufacturing, and production use
• Maintain organized and accurate drawing files and documentation
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and deadlines are met

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD with a strong emphasis on 2-D architectural drafting
• Prior experience in the mobile home, mobile office, or RV industry preferred
• Experience with home building or general construction companies is a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Compensation

$25–$27 per hour, depending on experience
