The Senior Maintenance Technician will be highly skilled in many disciplines. However, this position leans heavily on electrical knowledge and capability.

The primary responsibility is facility preventive and reactive maintenance, to include all utilities and support equipment, such as compressors, chillers, cooling towers, security systems, fire protection, etc. with minimal direction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic and pneumatic systems and equipment

  • Perform electronic design, layout, fabrication, and assembly tasks as needed

  • Assist in building special production equipment for ongoing projects

  • Perform minor drafting and updates to equipment schematics

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment

  • Accurately record maintenance activities and findings

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

  • Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and lockout/tagout protocols

  • Use handheld tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment

  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives

  • Operate in environments with noise and dust exposure

  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English

  • Basic drafting or schematic reading skills

  • Must be tech-savvy and detail-oriented

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by applicable regulations)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in noisy, industrial environments

  • Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds regularly

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access machinery

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (required)

  • Technical school training or junior college coursework (preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant (preferred)
