A company in the Morristown area is looking to add a skilled 1st Shift CNC Machinist Toolmaker to their team! This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong training programs, and excellent growth potential.
CNC Machinist Toolmaker job duties:
- Independently set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and other precision machining equipment
- Machine and repair high-precision mold cavities and components
- Perform measurements and inspections on machined parts to ensure accuracy
- Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure quality standards
- Perform fitting, assembly, and preventive maintenance on tool shop equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete all required documentation
- May occasionally travel to other facilities, customers, or suppliers
- Lift and handle up to 35 lbs
Pay/Benefits:
- $30–$35/hr (based on experience)

CNC Machinist Toolmaker Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on machining experience (manual and CNC mills/lathes)
- Experience machining steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, etc.
- Ability to calculate speeds/feeds for precision machining
- Surface grinding experience preferred; EDM experience a plus
- Ability to read detailed technical drawings/blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and great math skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs
- Post-secondary machining or tool & die training preferred
