Groundskeeper - $16.50/HOUR

A local company needs a Groundskeeper for a property in West El Paso. The Groundskeeper 

maintains the exterior curb appeal, cleanliness, and safety of a residential community. Key duties include daily trash removal from grounds, landscaping (mowing, weeding, planting), cleaning common areas, pool maintenance, snow removal, and assisting maintenance teams with turnovers, and minor repairs. 

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Property Maintenance: Walk the property daily to pick up trash, empty trash receptacles, and clean dumpster areas.
• Landscaping & Grounds Care: Maintain lawn areas, flower beds, and shrubs through mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and watering.
• Safety & Exterior Cleaning: Clean exterior hallways, parking lots, and walkways; remove debris.
• Seasonal Tasks: Perform snow removal, ice prevention (salting), and leaf removal.
• Maintenance Support: Assist technicians with cleaning vacant, "make-ready" units, painting, and light, repairs.
• Safety Compliance: Report maintenance hazards (e.g., broken lights, water leaks) to management.
• Equipment Upkeep: Maintain and properly store groundskeeping equipment (blowers, mowers, tools). 

Requirements and Skills

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and be on foot for long periods.
• Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with lawn care equipment, blowers, and hand tools.
• Communication: Ability to report maintenance issues to supervisors and interact politely with residents.
• Dependability: Often requires weekend work or emergency, availability for weather-related issues.
