Shear Machine Operator - Weekend Shift

Location: Nashua, NH
Starting Salary: $23.50 per hour (train on 1st shift at $21 per hour)
Hours:   7am to 7pm (12 hours) Friday, Saturday and Sunday
This is a full time, temp to perm position

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Operate an Anglemaster machine to punch, drill, shear, and mark steel material
• Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and basic blueprints
• Measure materials accurately using tape measures, calipers, and gauges
• Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions) to verify dimensions
• Program or set up machine as needed
• Punch first piece part and inspect per inspection sheet  
• Perform in-process quality checks
• Operates multiple machines as required to meet production goals
• Operate all equipment in a safe, efficient manner while wearing all required PPE

 

Requirements:

 

• High school diploma or GED
• Be able to properly use measuring instruments such as tape measure, calipers, etc.
• Strong basic math skills and ability to read measurements accurately
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience (steel or fabrication preferred)
• Prior machine operation experience; CNC or automated equipment experience a plus
