Service Writer

Location: Grand Forks, ND
Pay: $20–$25/hour (DOE)

We are seeking a Service Writer to join a fast-paced automotive service center. This role is the primary point of contact for customers and plays a key part in ensuring efficient service operations and a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess vehicle service needs

• Create accurate service orders and explain recommended services, pricing, and timelines

• Coordinate workflow between customers and technicians

• Process invoices, payments, and service documentation

• Provide updates to customers throughout the service process

Requirements

• 1–2 years of customer service experience (automotive or service environment preferred)

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting

• Basic knowledge of automotive services (tires, oil changes, preventative maintenance preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in a shop environment
