Location: Arcata, CA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance submissions related to research activities
• Track and maintain protocols, amendments, renewals, annual reviews, and required reporting
• Coordinate compliance documentation and communications across multiple departments
• Maintain updates to internal systems, databases, websites, listservs, and communication platforms (InfoReady, Trello, Engagement Hub, etc.)
• Monitor and maintain CITI training compliance and Health Assurance Form records
• Prepare and distribute agendas, meeting materials, minutes, and decisions for review boards
• Assist with administrative support during research-related investigations
• Provide information, clarification, and guidance to staff, students, and outside partners regarding compliance requirements
• Collaborate with compliance professionals across broader networks

Qualifications

Required

• Strong knowledge of standard office procedures and administrative practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret policies, apply procedures, and use sound judgment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
• Ability to resolve administrative and procedural problems independently
• Proficiency with computers, office software, and willingness to learn new systems
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports
• Commitment to supporting diversity and fostering positive working relationships

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience presenting information to groups or individuals
• Experience using InfoReady and Trello

Work Environment

• Mostly sedentary office-based work with flexibility for some remote tasks
• Frequent communication with internal staff and outside partners
• Extended periods of sitting, with occasional standing and walking
• Requires manual dexterity, clear verbal communication, and normal or corrected-to-normal vision/hearing

Compensation

 $23–$28/hr DOE
