Express Employment Professionals of Centennial is hiring an Accountant/Bookkeeper for a machine shop in Englewood, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing core accounting functions and support day-to-day business operations. This is a hands-on role in a small, dynamic company, requiring someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable wearing many hats.

Job Highlights:

• Accounting & Finance: Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, reconciliations, collections, sales tax, year-end activities, and bank packages.
• Invoicing & Credits: Issue invoices and process credits for warranties, advertising, returns, and trade shows.
• Process & Pricing: Communicate and correct pricing issues; assist with process implementation and improvement.
• Administrative Support: Assist with phones and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Reporting & Compliance: Support CPA-related work, ensure accurate financial reporting, assist with tax preparation, W-2s, and other compliance tasks.
• Building Management Finance: Support rent collection and related financial management for the company-owned building.

What we look for:

• 3+ years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software; QuickBooks is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, proactive, and comfortable meeting deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, accept feedback, and follow direction.
