Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Shift: Train on 1st Shift, then move to 3rd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support daily production and warehouse operations. This is an active, hands-on position and is not a sit-down forklift role. Candidates must have recent material handling or forklift experience and have held that role for at least 6 months to 1 year.

This position will train on 1st shift and then transition to 3rd shift once training is completed.

 

Responsibilities

• Transport gaylord pallet boxes of materials from warehouse areas to production machines
• Ensure machines are supplied with adequate raw materials throughout the shift
• Move finished goods to shipping staging areas or designated storage locations
• Shrink wrap, label, and stage skids for shipment
• Record and update raw material lot numbers at each workstation
• Notify the Production Manager of material shortages, quality concerns, or lot issues
• Organize and move gaylords, scrap, skids, cardboard, and other materials as needed
• Safely operate equipment including baler, bander, grinder, loader, dumper, and dryer
• Perform and document daily forklift inspections and report mechanical issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S standards
• Assist with packing operations as needed

 

Requirements

• Recent forklift or material handling experience required
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year in a forklift or warehouse material handling role
• Ability to work 3rd shift after completing 1st shift training
• Experience in a production or warehouse environment preferred
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials throughout the shift
• Strong attention to safety and detail
