Press Assistant – $17/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable Press Assistant to support daily operations on a high-volume printing press. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, fast-paced production environments, and learning new mechanical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist press operators with setup, changeovers, and shutdown procedures
• Load materials, stage supplies, and ensure press stations remain stocked during production
• Monitor print quality and remove defective material to maintain accuracy and consistency
• Perform basic cleaning and upkeep of press equipment to support smooth operation
• Support troubleshooting activities by identifying jams, misfeeds, or material issues
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Help meet production goals by keeping workflow steady and minimizing downtime

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, printing, or machine operation preferred (not required)
• Ability to lift and move materials throughout a shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn press operations
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a production environment
