Job Title: Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Job Summary:
The Sit-Down Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, and stage tile products within the warehouse and yard. This role supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring accurate handling of materials, maintaining inventory organization, and following all safety and quality standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down forklifts to load and unload tile products from trucks, containers, and storage racks

• Transport palletized tile materials to designated staging, storage, or shipping areas

• Verify product quantities and inspect materials for damage during handling

• Assist with order picking, palletizing, wrapping, and preparation for shipment

• Maintain clean and organized warehouse and yard areas

• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies

• Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety issues

• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed

• Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift (required)

• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)

• Experience handling heavy materials such as tile, stone, or construction products preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse setting

• Basic math and inventory skills

• Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail

Work Environment:

• Warehouse and outdoor yard environment

• Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift

Schedule:

• Full-time position M - F 8AM - 4:30 PM 

• Overtime may be required based on operational needs
