Framer / Carpenter

Location: Bessemer, AL
Shift: First Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday with overtime opportunities

We are seeking an experienced Framer/Carpenter to join a growing construction team in Bessemer. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who can read blueprints, work independently, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Pay

• Starting at $17/hour minimum

• Pay is dependent on experience and skill set

• Overtime opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine interior layouts

• Ensure correct components and materials are securely installed on interior and exterior structures

• Measure, mark, and cut drywall, wallboard, and framing materials

• Patch, trim, tape, plaster, and smooth joined panels

• Safely use and maintain hand and power tools

• Work comfortably at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts

• Troubleshoot installation or framing issues both in-house and on job sites

• Travel to job sites as needed to resolve issues

Requirements

• Five or more years of carpentry experience preferred

• Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately

• Working knowledge of construction math, framing, drywall installation, and hand/power tools

• Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

• Ability to meet physical job demands, including kneeling, climbing, balancing, extended overhead work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outdoors when necessary

• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as needed

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check (clean background required)
