Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to support a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents in our assisted living community. This role plays an essential part in promoting resident health, dignity, and quality of life by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation while being respectful of residents’ privacy and individual needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, dining spaces, and staff areas

• Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with healthcare and assisted living standards

• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors, furniture, and high-touch surfaces

• Change linens, make beds, and assist with laundering resident and facility linens as required

• Empty trash and bio-waste (as applicable) following proper disposal procedures

• Restock housekeeping and sanitation supplies

• Observe and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or changes in resident environments to supervisors

• Interact respectfully and courteously with residents, families, and staff

• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility privacy policies

• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently while minimizing disruption to residents’ daily routines

• Proper use and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment

• Participation in required training, screenings, and safety programs

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks

• Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds

Schedule:

• Full-time or part-time; weekends and holidays may be required
