Job Title: Wood Treating Technician

Pay Range: $17 an hour to start (once perm, up to $20)

Schedule: Train on day shift, once trained - will move to night shift (6pm - 6am, Monday - Friday.)

Job Summary

We are seeking a safety-minded and detail-oriented Wood Treating Technician to operate and monitor the wood treatment process. This role requires strong math skills, mechanical awareness, and the ability to follow precise procedures. The ideal candidate is alert at all times, physically able to stand for long periods, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate valves and equipment to control the wood treatment process accurately
• Perform calculations related to treatment formulas, pressures, and chemical levels
• Monitor production and chemical treatment systems to prevent spills or safety incidents
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Report any irregularities, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals and quality standards are met

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Safety-focused mindset; ability to remain alert and attentive at all times
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
• Physically able to stand and move for extended periods
• Previous experience in manufacturing, chemical handling, or production is a plus
• Quick learner with mechanical aptitude
