Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Manufacturing Associate to support our Die Cut, Lamination, and Back Slitting/Scoring Department. This is an entry-level manufacturing role where the associate will float between positions based on daily workload and production needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate and assist with die cutting, lamination, and back slitting/scoring equipment
Review job schedules and job tickets to prioritize urgent customer work
Follow production specifications and special instructions precisely
Inspect materials during production to ensure quality and consistency
Communicate production challenges or discrepancies to Leads or Managers
Document any approved production changes per job ticket requirements
Stage finished work correctly for downstream operations
Monitor supplies and communicate inventory needs
Assist with basic machine maintenance and department upkeep
Perform all necessary operations within the department as assigned
Lamination Duties May Include:
Ensuring correct laminate, pressure, and tension are used
Maintaining clean, dirt-free laminate surfaces (wipe as you go)
Monitoring quality and keeping defects separate
Ensuring laminated sheets are flat, aligned, and properly prepped
Maintaining laminator equipment and consumable inventory
Back Slitting / Scoring Duties May Include:
Ensuring correct slit depth and placement throughout the run
Changing blades as needed for consistent output
Feeding and stacking sheets in the correct direction
Hand slitting when machine processing is not appropriate
Keeping quality issues separate and properly labeled
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Standing for the entire shift
Tight production workspace
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (use proper lifting techniques; ask for help when needed)
Lamination tables are slightly taller than standard
Qualifications:
Entry-level manufacturing experience encouraged
Die cut, lamination, or scoring experience is a plus but not required
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing schedules
Comfortable working independently
Reliable, professional, and patient
Basic computer skills preferred
