Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for ensuring that all tableware, pots and pans, utensils, other kitchen equipment, and surfaces are clean and sanitary
• Work is routine with little or no deviation from accepted practices
• Performs related duties as assigned
• Assists with food tray preparation during meal service hours
• Cleans and washes dishes by hand or machine, including trays, silverware, and pots and pans for morning, lunch, and dinner meals
• Ensures the sanitation of the kitchen work area by cleaning and washing machines, mopping the floor, taking garbage to the dumpster
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dish room and pot sink work areas

Qualifications

• This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to upholding high safety and service standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Must be able to follow safety protocols and handle cleaning chemicals safely
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
• Strong work ethic and reliability
