Our client in Willoughby, OH is seeking a 2nd Shift Molding Team Lead.

Pay: $17–$20/hr BOE + $3.50/hr shift differential

Training Requirement:
This position requires training on 1st shift for approximately 90 days, followed by permanent placement on 2nd shift.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining injection molding processes to meet standard cycle times and quality requirements. Lead and support 2nd shift operators to achieve production goals, train new employees on proper mold and press operation, and operate injection molding machines to produce ceramic cores.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform basic die cleaning and maintenance

• Set up and operate molding machines related to the injection molding process

• Follow documented process procedures and ensure team compliance

• Oversee quality of parts produced by 2nd shift operators through regular visual inspections

• Troubleshoot processes and correct non-conforming parts

• Ensure completion of end-of-shift duties including production reporting, TPM, and 6S

• Maintain clear and consistent communication between shifts

• Ensure continuous operation of molding equipment

• Model and enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Injection molding experience required

• Minimum 2 years of lead or supervisory experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Leadership and communication skills

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, and perform full-body motion

• Lift up to 50 lbs

• Push/pull/slide up to 400 lbs with assistance

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment

Equipment Used:

• High & low pressure injection presses

• Forklift

• Computer and barcode scanner

Hazardous Materials:

• Some in-plant handling of hazardous waste may be required
