Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale construction projects from project initiation through final billing and warranty follow-up. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, customers, and vendors.


Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Project Knowledge & Administration

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the estimating process and how it supports the Project Manager role.

  • Maintain all required systems, documentation, and reporting to ensure contract compliance.

  • Set up projects in the job cost system, track accurate project costs, and generate timely billings based on contract schedules and guidelines.

  • Prepare, submit, and track project submittals to ensure approved materials are used.

  • Process pricing requests and manage change order approvals.

  • Coordinate project completion and manage all project closeout documentation, including warranty requirements.


Working Relationships & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Estimators to transition awarded bids into active projects, including plan and scope review.

  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

  • Maintain strong working relationships and open communication with customers, vendors, suppliers, and internal team members.

  • Coordinate with Installers to ensure materials availability, scheduling accuracy, and successful job completion.


Cost Control & Project Performance

  • Determine the most effective approach for ordering, delivery, distribution, and installation of materials.

  • Monitor and track project progress, schedules, and costs.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in processes and installation methods to maximize quality while controlling costs.


Customer Service & Communication

  • Communicate job-specific expectations clearly to Installers for each project.

  • Maintain professional and timely communication with customers, suppliers, and vendors.

  • Provide prompt, professional responses to customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.


Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Participate in the Safety Committee when requested.
