CNC Lathe Operator

Located in Frankfort, IL

Salary: $22/hr. - $25/hr.

A manufacturer is currently looking to hire a full-time Experienced Lathe Machinist on day shift (6AM to 2:30PM Monday through Friday) in Frankfort, IL paying $22/hr.-$25/hr.   Candidate will be working on a LeBlonde and Safeop Lathe with Fagor CNC controls.

Job Duties:

• Read, interpret and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, drawings, specifications, materials, machining parameters, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform basic machining math including fractional / decimal conversion, calculating dimensions and tolerances.
• Choose holding fixtures, cutting tool and attachments along with loading the material on the lathe. 
• Properly set up and operate Lathe and machine parts/components to the required specifications.
• Calculates and sets controls for speed, feed and cut rates along with adjustments.
• Verify conformance of machined workpiece to specifications using measuring devices and make corrections as required.
• Inspection of finished goods to the specification by using measuring gauges and tools.
• Able to comply to Company Policies and Procedures with emphasis on safety.

 

SKILLS:

• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Experience with Manual and CNC Machinery 1-2 years preferred
