Now Hiring: Senior Conventional Machinist / Team Lead

Express Employment Professionals - St. Catharines is currently looking for an experienced Senior Conventional Machinist to join our client’s small, yet growing machine shop and lead a small team.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual conventional machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
• Supervise and lead a team of 3–6 machinists
• Assign daily work tasks and prioritize jobs
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and safety standards are met
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues
• Support training and mentoring team members

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as a conventional machinist, 8+ years ideally
• Strong leadership or team lead experience in a machine shop environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and hands-on leader
