Location: Salem, OR Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Flexible schedule | On-site only
A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support employee leave administration and HR compliance during a 60-day temporary assignment, with potential for evaluation and hire. This role works closely with HR leadership to manage complex employee leaves while supporting core HR functions.
Three (3) years of experience as an HR Generalist
Direct experience managing employee leaves, disability, and workplace accommodations
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance
Manage employee leaves through HR, including protected leave, disability, and accommodations
Coordinate documentation, interactive dialogue meetings, and compliance requirements
Advise managers and staff on leave processes and timelines
Maintain accurate and confidential HRIS records
Support benefits coordination, Workers’ Compensation collaboration, and HR projects
Must pass background screening, drug testing, and Central Background Registry registration
No driving required
No supervisory responsibilities
