Local Ferndale production facility is seeking a Quality Inspector/Waste Water Technician.

 

Job Duties: Perform visual part inspections and paint coating compliance testing. Sign off on finished goods to verify quality standards. Complete quality reports and documented inspection results. Identify and report non-conforming parts to supervisors and management. Conduct chemical titrations to balance tank concentrations, utilizing basic math functions. Maintain accurate wastewater and titration logs, along with daily checklists. Perform light and heavy-duty cleaning of tanks and routine equipment maintenance as needed. Clean wastewater tank overflows to ensure proper operation and safety. Utilize tools such as shop vacs, power washers, submersible pumps, and basic hand tools. Willing to learn and operate a hi-lo (forklift). Perform other duties assigned.

 

Location: Ferndale, MI 

 

Shift: Must be willing to train on first shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM for 90 days then be transferred over to 2nd shift 

Pay: $16/hr. Paid Weekly 

 

An ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, squatting, and climbing throughout the workday

• Comfortable working in close proximity to chemicals and chemical processes

• Willingness to work in dirty, wet, or industrial environments

• Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Physically capable of performing repetitive and demanding tasks
