Our client, a well-established professional association in Downtown Asheville, is looking for an organized, energetic, and detail-oriented Event & Member Coordination Specialist to support a major upcoming industry event.

Think event planning meets project coordination. You’ll be working closely with members and vendors to get everything organized, scheduled, and ready for a large professional expo-style event. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating moving parts, working with people, and keeping projects on track.

The Important Stuff

• Pay: $20–$21/hr

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Location: Downtown Asheville

• Duration: Temporary through March 22nd

• Long-term temp project with consistent hours

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinate with members and participants to get them registered, organized, and set up for the event

• Track details, deadlines, and assignments using spreadsheets and internal systems

• Manage lists, schedules, and participation details

• Communicate with both members and non-members regarding requirements, timelines, and logistics

• Help keep all moving parts organized, accurate, and on schedule

• Provide general project and administrative support to the team leading up to the event

• Strong organizational and coordination skills

• Comfortable managing spreadsheets and tracking details

• Professional communication skills (phone, email, follow-up)

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines

• Someone who enjoys project-based work and keeping things organized
