Counter Sales Representative - Industrial/Lumber

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM 

Pay: $17–$20/hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team. As the first point of contact for customers, you’ll provide product information, process transactions, and ensure a positive shopping experience. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a passion for delivering excellent service. Lumber experience is a plus!

 Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with product selection and inquiries

• Process orders, handle payments, and issue receipts accurately

• Provide detailed information on product features, pricing, and availability

• Maintain organized and attractive merchandise displays at the counter

• Monitor inventory levels and restock counter items as needed

• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary

• Promote special offers, loyalty programs, and upsell relevant products

• Keep the counter area clean, safe, and welcoming

 Qualifications

• Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

• Basic math and computer skills for processing transactions

• Lumber or building materials experience (preferred but not required)

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-oriented
