Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Residential Housing Foreman for our client to work under direction of the site superintendent. This position will involve overseeing areas of construction for a townhome development consisting of multiple unit styles. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and hands-on residential construction experience to manage crews, coordinate trades, and ensure consistent quality across varying designs.

 

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site activities for a multi-style townhome development
• Oversee assigned areas of work across multiple units (at the direction of the site superintendent)
• Work with the site superintendent to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications for different unit styles to assist with construction on multiple work fronts.
• Plan and sequence work assigned by the superintendent efficiently, to maintain production flow between trades.
• Maintain and direct staff to keep a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times
• Perform regular quality control inspections and inform the superintendent of findings.
• Assist with tracking materials, deliveries
• Assist with hands-on construction work when required
• Enforce company safety policies and site procedures

 

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a foreman, lead hand, is considered an asset
• Experience with townhomes, multi-unit, or repetitive residential builds is also asset
• Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing
• Ability to manage multiple people on different work fronts simultaneously
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills is preferred
• High attention to detail and consistency across workfronts
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Safety certifications (First Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS) considered an asset
