Shift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (flexible based on production)
Pay: $18 – $20/hr

Position Overview

A well-established manufacturing company in Kendallville is seeking a Quality Technician to support inspection, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts within a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, meeting customer specifications, and supporting ISO quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts

• Measure components using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges

• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications

• Complete inspection reports, certifications, and quality documentation

• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain inspection records and calibration logs

• Communicate quality concerns clearly with production management

• Assist with internal audits and compliance efforts

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or inspection role

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

• Experience using precision measuring equipment

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

• Basic computer proficiency

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Heat treat, metal processing, or machining experience

• ISO 9001 quality system experience

• Hardness testing or metallurgical inspection experience

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk throughout production floor

• Lift up to 40 lbs occasionally

• Visual acuity for detailed inspection work
