The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely inventory counts, managing stock levels, and maintaining the integrity of inventory records. This role involves overseeing the movement of products, conducting regular physical counts, and investigating discrepancies to maintain efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts to verify stock levels and ensure accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain inventory records in the system, ensuring data is up-to-date and correct.
• Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records, investigating and resolving any inconsistencies.
• Track product movement, including receiving, storing, and shipping, to ensure inventory is properly accounted for.
• Assist in developing and improving inventory control procedures and policies.
• Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
• Prepare and submit inventory reports to management.
• Ensure inventory storage areas are organized and maintained according to company standards.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and production, to address any inventory-related concerns.
• Assist in audits and stocktakes to ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
• Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and software.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical inventory tasks when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
