Forklift Operator

Position Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating industrial forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stage materials within the warehouse or production facility. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, and adherence to all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to move materials throughout the facility.

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.

• Transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, or shipping departments.

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and material transactions.

• Follow safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents or damage to materials.

• Assist with general warehouse duties such as staging, wrapping, or labeling products as needed.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a warehouse environment.

• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

• Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory tracking preferred.
