Salary: $17.50 to $18.00

Manual laborer responsible for unloading and loading goods from trucks and containers. They work in warehouses, distribution centers, and other facilities that handle large quantities of goods. Lumpers must have physical stamina, good coordination, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual loading and unloading of freight from trucks and trailers
  • Stack and organize freight in a safe and efficient manner
  • Use equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move freight
  • Ensure accuracy of freight being loaded and unloaded
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of productivity

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately count and sort items
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with team members
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Basic math skills to calculate weights and quantities
  • Reliability and punctuality
