Position Summary

We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists for a job-shop environment specializing in custom metal and steel machining. This role is ideal for machinists who enjoy variety in their work and hands-on problem solving—not repetitive, production-only machining. Candidates should be comfortable working from prints, setting up jobs, and applying working knowledge of G-code and M-code.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes in a job-shop environment

• Perform custom machining on metal and steel parts

• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers

• Apply and modify G-code and M-code as needed for setup and troubleshooting

• Select tooling, offsets, and fixtures appropriate for each job

• Inspect parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy

• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Requirements

• Job shop machining experience preferred

• Working knowledge of G-code and M-code

• Experience machining metal/steel

• CNC mill and lathe experience

• Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately

• Strong attention to detail and quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Machine Tool Technology degree or related technical education

• Longevity and stability in previous machining roles

• Experience running a variety of parts rather than repetitive production work
