Location: Danville, IL
Schedule: Full-Time | 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (Saturdays as scheduled)

 

A manufacturing facility in Danville is seeking a MIG Welder to join their production team. This role is ideal for someone with welding experience who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and precision.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform MIG welding to join metal parts per customer and production specifications

• Clean, grind, and prepare materials prior to welding

• Set and adjust amperage, voltage, wire feed speed, and gas flow for optimal weld quality

• Inspect welds for cracks, defects, and porosity to ensure integrity

• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions

• Maintain welding equipment and identify/troubleshoot issues

• Follow all safety policies and procedures

What You Bring to the Table:

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to read and understand blueprints

• Knowledge of metal properties and welding processes

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

• Understanding of workplace safety standards

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Lift and move materials and parts up to 50 lbs or more

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed

• Strong hand-eye coordination for precise welding
