Tax Manager

Located in New Wilmington, PA

Salary: $25-$30.00/hr

The Company has a small nine person team working together in a team oriented environment in a rural area compiling tax returns and financial statements.

The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and performing a variety of tax functions, including the preparation and review of individual and business tax returns, research and resolution of tax issues, and client tax planning. This role requires a solid understanding of tax law, excellent people skills and the desire to work well in a team environment.

Duties of the Tax Manager:

• Prepare tax returns for clients including 1040, C Schedule, 1065 Partnership, S-Corp and C-Corp returns.
• Manage four tax preparers with varying tax knowledge and experience.
• Research/resolve tax issues for clients over a wide spectrum of issues.
• Meet with clients to perform tax planning.

Qualifications:

• 2 - 10 years tax firm experience with preparation of personal and business tax returns
• Must have excellent time management and relationship skills to manage the workload and build long lasting relationships with a wide range of clients.
• Solid working knowledge of Drake Tax Software.

Education:

• Tax courses such as H&R Block.
• Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in accounting highly preferred.
• CPA / EA preferred but not required.

Pay Rate (based on experience): 

• $25.00-30.00/hr

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday (daylight hours)
