Our client in North Hollywood is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant! 

Pay: $21-$23/ph DOE
M-F 7AM-3:30PM

As the Facilities Maintenance Assistant, your daily duties include waste management, machine cleaning, workspace upkeep, and vehicle/trailer cleaning.  Your role is to assist in the company's facilities maintenance tasks. They will play a crucial part in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient facility.  

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Empty and dispose of scrap metal shavings and trash from workstations daily. Measure of weight before picking up and documentation.
•    Light construction, light plumbing, and Painting. 
•    Clean machines and equipment according to established protocols
•    Maintain cleanliness in work areas throughout the facility
•    Perform weekly cleaning of company vehicles and trailer
•    Support housekeeping 
•    Someone who’s comfortable getting their hands dirty and can support a wide range of facilities-related tasks. 
•    Flexibility is also important ideally, someone who can switch projects with little to no notice.
•    All other duties that are assigned.

Qualifications include:

•    Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
•    Must be able to stand/walk facility for the entire shift.
•    Ability to make decisions in fast or stressful situations.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Ability to deal with difficult personalities.
•    Valid Driver’s license 
•    Experience with cleaning equipment and procedures
•    Ability to follow safety protocols when handling hazardous waste. 

Physical requirements

•    This position involves physically demanding work. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment with the potential for extended work hours. The job requires extensive standing and walking, as well as effective verbal and written communication. You should be capable of dealing with difficult personalities and finding solutions efficiently and amicably. Expect to perform repetitive tasks with limited breaks, such as walking, standing, and kneeling. You should also be able to lift weights of up to 50 pounds.
